Timeline Visualizer (timelinevisualizer.site) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This page explains how to report content on this site that you believe infringes your copyright, under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

About the content on this site

Timeline Visualizer processes your Timeline data on your own device. We don’t host, store or publish the Timeline files you use. The content hosted on this site is its own text, design and code. Map imagery is provided by third parties such as OpenStreetMap and CARTO, and any copyright concern about those maps should be directed to them.

What happens next

When we receive a valid notice, we will review it and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material. We may also forward your notice, including your contact details, to the person who published the material.

Counter-notice

If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send us a counter-notice that includes:

  1. Your full legal name, address, email address and phone number.
  2. A description of the removed material and where it appeared before it was removed.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which we can be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice.
  5. Your physical or electronic signature.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material within 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant tells us they have filed a court action.

False claims

Under section 512(f) of the DMCA, anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees. Please consider whether the use may be lawful, such as fair use, before submitting a notice.

Repeat infringers

We may terminate access for users who are repeatedly found to infringe the copyrights of others.
